LIST OF ISSUES
"Whether students are aware of it or not, the TCSA influences the life of every student, every day. The association must make sure that it is always aware of its impact, and ensure that it is helping rather then hurting students. Having a campaign that builds off of my experiences in many different roles at Trent, I'm proud to present a platform that provides a strong direction into the future for the association."
Health
Increasing and strengthening health services on campus is one of my top priorities. as President of the TCSA, I will work on expanding the TCSA's health plan, and lobby for increased health services on campus.
Accountability
First and foremost the TCSA must remain accountable to the students. The foundation of accountability is transparency and communication. As TCSA President, I would ensure that the association increases its communication with students.
Advocacy
As the largest student political organization on campus, it is important not only for the TCSA to be engaging in advocacy on behalf of students, but also to open up spaces for advocacy for those not involved in the TCSA.
Strategic Vision
Because of the short term nature of only one year terms, the TCSA has been missing a long term strategic vision. The university itself is also going through changes that will shape the school for years to come. The TCSA needs to continue to act as an advocate for small class sizes and the resurgence of spaces like Traill College.
